Principle Designer of CaLa Design Group
Owner and Principle Designer of CaLa Design Group, as well as the mother of two amazing boys. After growing up in southern California I moved to the east coast to get my Bachelors in Textile Science and Design at the University of Rhode Island. I have always had a passion for design of any kind. I then decided to get my graduate degree in Interior Design at Parsons School of Design in New York City. After completing my degree I worked for four years at Wilson Associates, a worldwide hospitality firm in Ney York, where I worked on various projects such as the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach and the Ritz Carlton, Dubai. I missed my family and the warm weather and decided to move back to San Diego in 2009. I then worked as a design consultant for various design firms throughout San Diego while getting married and having two children, until two years ago when I decided to start my own business. My business partner and I opened Cala Design Group in October of last year and it has really taken off. We have been doing commercial as well as residential design all throughout San Diego. In the Encinitas/Cardiff area we recently completed three houses right by the park in Cardiff on Carretta Way, and are also working on the Crack Shack Encinitas, to open in January. At Cala Design Group we always aim to use local tradesman and collaborate with our clients as well as involve the community as much as possible on our projects.
