Executive Director, Cardiff 101 Main Street
Annika became Executive Director of Cardiff 101 Main Street in August 2015 after assisting with program development, graphic design, and social media over the past few years as Assistant Director. A native of Encinitas, Annika graduated from the University of Lund in Sweden with a Bachelors in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her past experience includes Main Street Associations, public relations firms and marketing agencies in San Diego where she collaborated with stakeholders in collaborative creative and engagement efforts such as Encinitas Street Fair, Farmers Markets, and Encinitas Bike to Work Day. Annika seeks to grow and expand Cardiff 101 while sustaining social wellness, economic development and environmental programs that leave an impact in the north San Diego county community. An avid surfer and yogi, Annika can be found biking to work most days or surfing at Cardiff Reef in her free time.
Assistant Director, Cardiff 101 Main Street
Natalie became Assistant Director of Cardiff 101 Main Street in September 2015 after spending most of her career in the sports marketing and event hospitality industry. Having spent the past 5 years in San Francisco at a global experiential marketing agency, Natalie joins C101 with experience planning and executing events, client management and marketing. Natalie graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelors in Business Administration and Marketing emphasis, and is excited to be back in sunny San Diego. Having grown up on the island of Maui, she has a deep appreciation for community, history, and culture, which she believes establishes the true essence of a place. She seeks to enhance C101’s events and educational programming, while sustaining the natural beauty and history of Cardiff-by-the-sea.
Susan Hays, President
Currently serving as Cardiff 101 Board President, Susan is a long time resident of Cardiff and an active volunteer within the community. She is an art consultant representing Matthew Antichevich, the creator of the "Cardiff Kook.” Susan is also on the Board of the Friends of the Cardiff-by-the-Sea Library.
Serving C101 Board from 2005-2008 and returned in 2012.
Brenda Dizon, Vice President
Brenda has been a Cardiff resident for more than 25 years. With an excellent reputation as a real estate finance professional since 1990, she currently works for RPM Mortgage specializing in the residential market. Brenda has carved out time to volunteer and help her community become the best it can be. Past President of the Cardiff 101 Main Street 2010-2014, she now serves as Vice President and chairs the Economic Development Committee and represents C-101 on the Economic Development committee for the City of Encinitas. She enjoys spending time with her husband and her daughter who lives in Maui,traveling, playing tennis and enjoying Cardiff’s beautiful beaches.

Malte L. L. Farnaes, Secretary
The Law Offices of Farnaes & Lucio, APC
Malte is a shareholder of Farnaes & Lucio, a law firm located in the heart of Cardiff. Malte represents both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation matters, including class actions, employment matters and business disputes, as well as in various business transactions. When he is not working, Malte enjoys kayak fishing, surfing and camping with his wife and children.

Joshua Lichtman, Treasurer
Joshua Lichtman is a Co-Managing Partner of Canvas Ventures, a real estate development company focusing on urban infill development and hospitality-related ventures. Prior to Canvas Ventures, Joshua worked at Stone Brewing Co. on their real estate development and special projects. While at Stone, Joshua assisted with the development of tasting rooms, restaurants and distribution/packaging facilities and also helped with obtaining ABC licenses for these facilities. Prior to Stone, Joshua worked with entrepreneurs, building owners and architects as an Owner’s Representative/LEED Accredited Professional developing LEED certified projects in Washington, DC and Southern California. With over 10 years of real estate development, entitlement/land use policy, project management, and green building experience, he holds a Master of Real Estate Development degree from the University of Southern California. Joshua is a member of the USGBC, ULI and a board member and Treasurer of the Cardiff 101 Main Street Association.

Morgan has lived in Cardiff-by-the-Sea for over 35 years. He has served as Cardiff 101’s Vice President, on the Organization Committee, Design Committee and co- liaison of the Cardiff Botanical Society/Carpentier Parkway. He has also assisted with the Arts Alive Program and chairs the Cardiff 101 Facade Grant Committee. Morgan is also a founding member of Leucadia 101 Main Street and founding President. Morgan owns and operates The Corner Frame Shop & Leucadia Art Gallery in the Leucadia community of Encinitas.

Brett Farrow Architect, Inc.
Brett is a licensed California architect based in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. As a builder, developer and architect his projects focus primarily on in-fill redevelopment in walkable areas. He has been involved in multiple design review groups and currently is a design instructor and co-director of the Master's of Real Estate Development Program for Architects at Woodbury University.

Encinitas California Coast Credit Union
Christy has over 15 years of experience in the areas of Credit Unions and Commercial Banking. She is a native to San Diego, and has spent the majority of her banking career in the North County. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two year old son, Conrad.

Former City of Encinitas Mayor, Teresa Barth has been an active member of the Cardiff community for over twenty years. She served on the Encinitas City Council from 2006 - 2014 and served as Mayor in 2013.
Betty is a Cardiff property owner and an affiliate of the Cardiff Chamber of Commerce since July 2005. She has participated as Treasurer and Vice President of Cardiff 101 Main Street Association as well as revived the Cardiff Surf Classic and Green Beach Fair. Betty is a local business owner of Steele Realty in Cardiff-by-the-Sea since 2005, and currently has two offices located in this beautiful beach town.

Pete opened Seaside Market in 1985, serving the local community for 30 years. This is the first year Pete is on the Cardiff 101 board, but has been working with the board for many years. Seaside Market’s success is directly related to Pete developing strong ties within the local community and supporting local schools and non-profit groups. His involvement includes, but not limited to the Cardiff School District, the Cardiff State Beaches, the YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club.
