Cardiff Dog Days of Summer is hosted by Cardiff 101 Main Street and the City of Encinitas. This free event is sponsored by Kahoots and open to the public and features dog-related vendors, rescue groups, and pet adoption agencies. Activities include dog contests, live music, a libation lounge (ticketed), food trucks, and more!

✨ New This Year: The Corgi & Dachshund Run! 🐶🏁
We're excited to introduce a brand-new event at Cardiff Dog Days of Summer—the Corgi & Dachshund Run! Watch these adorable pups race for glory, make new furry friends, and steal the show. Corgis and Dachshunds can register to compete for a chance to be crowned this year's champion.
Rescue Row: Starting at 10:00 AM
“Rescue Row” is presented by the Rancho Coastal Humane Society. All Rescue Row event proceeds are donated to Rancho Coastal Humane Society whose focus is to rescue, shelter, and find homes for companion animals while promoting humane ideals through education and community outreach.
The City of Encinitas “Pet Health Expo” will be on-site providing pet micro-chipping thanks to San Diego Humane Society.
Dog Contests: Sign up day of event starting at 9 AM
Does your dog like to strut its stuff? Our popular dog contests are back! Compete in the ice cream contest and you could take home a ribbon for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place — but the best prize is definitely the ice cream itself! Winners of the other contests will receive a goodie bag filled with dog food, treats, toys, and more! Registration starts the day of the event at 9:00 AM for $10 per contest—cash or credit/debit accepted. *VIP Experience members have early access to sign up online beforehand.

Event Parking
Event Shuttle Services
To make your visit to the event as convenient as possible, we have arranged shuttle services from 2 designated parking locations:
1.Scripps Hospital - Lot C
Address: 326 Santa Fe Dr, Encinitas, CA 92024
Shuttle Pickup: The shuttle will pick up dogs and people at the entrance of the medical offices
2.San Dieguito Academy High School
Address: 800 Santa Fe Dr, Encinitas, CA 92024
Shuttle Pickup: The shuttle will pick up dogs and people at 3 shuttle stops
Shuttle Schedule:
Shuttles will run continuously throughout the event every 15 minutes to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.
Additional Information:
Please follow event signage for designated shuttle pickup points.
Ensure your dogs are leashed and ready for boarding.
