ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKS I understand that participating in a watermelon eating contest involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to choking, allergic reactions, slips or falls, stomach discomfort, illness, and other unforeseen hazards. I voluntarily choose to participate, knowing these risks, and accept full responsibility for my participation. MEDICAL CERTIFICATION I certify that I am in good health and physically able to safely participate in this contest. I have no medical conditions that would make it unsafe for me to eat watermelon rapidly. RELEASE OF LIABILITY In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Cardiff Farmers Market, Cardiff 101 Main Street, event sponsors, volunteers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liability for injury, illness, or damage to myself or my property arising out of or connected to my participation in this contest, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE I grant permission to Cardiff Farmers Market and its partners to use photographs or video of me taken during the contest for promotional purposes in print, online, or any other media, without compensation. RULES AGREEMENT I have read and understand the official contest rules. I agree to follow all instructions given by contest officials and judges, and I understand that failure to do so may result in disqualification.
