“One of my most formative memories was the day I graduated from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo; with $0.91 in the bank and three weeks until my engineering degree would be put to use, I was quickly entering my new reality. A reality comprised of burdensome student debt, now demanding repayment, as well as a daunting new income and benefit package. Being a life-long problem-solver, my natural inclination was to seek to understand and take the best available course of action.
I spent the next 4 years learning from every book, podcast, and article I could find on budgeting, personal finance, investment management and portfolio construction. This passion enabled me to pay off my student loans, identify my financial goals, and develop a custom computer application to manage my portfolio. During this time I realized most Americans lack the exposure to the topics and guidance they NEED in order to achieve their long-term financial goals. This was the impetus for me to change careers.
I chose Edward Jones because of the nearly 100 year history of serving the serious, long-term individual investor. My primary focus is to understand what is most important to my clients, identify their unique goals or challenges, work together to build personalized strategies to reach their goals, and partner for life to provide peace of mind.
